One Year Ago...

     June 25, 2012

Cam gave me the biggest surprise that I probably will ever receive.
Now... some day children will be in our lives, but I would like to think that they will not be a "surprise". I know that God's plan is much better than my own so I will welcome it all with great joy!

Back to what happened a year ago today. I wrote our proposal story over here.
You can read it if you would like. It is pretty sweet :)

That was one perfect day. Orlando, Florida will always hold a place in my heart.
I am going to reminisce and try not to freak out about our wedding being
ONE MONTH AND ONE DAY AWAY!!!!!!

Vacation

Well... I came back from vacation. Actually I have been back since Sunday, but have had no desire to do anything productive. :)

Garner state park was beautiful. I road tripped with the O family on Monday morning and we made it in about 6 hours. I love road trips... especially road trips with three cute little babes (does a 6 year old count as a baby?). I happen to be marrying into a family that has four of the greatest little babes... Addi (the youngest baby who lives in Oklahoma) was not able to make it and we missed her and her parents. I sure enjoyed spending time with the three little Texans though!

Our camp spot was just a few steps from the river and also the bathrooms. Yes... I survived a whole week using community showers and bathrooms! The river was amazing and crystal clear. We enjoyed floating in the river, making smores, and catching lightning bugs.

Speaking of lightning bugs anytime I said that word I was lectured by the sweet 6 year old. She insists that they should be called fireflies and nothing else. The cute 4 year old called them thunder bugs and I hope to remember that little voice forever.

We moved north to New Braunfels at the end of the week. The boys and Amanda were able to join us just as Randi left to head to New Mexico. Glad they came down because we missed them so much while we were camping in Garner. Saturday we floated the Comel river and cooked steaks for dinner at the campsite!

I hope to make it back some day, but I hope next time the rain stays away and the sun shines down the whole time.

If you need me...

If you need me this next week I will be here.

Camping.

I am most excited about the quality time I will be having with my books and the sun. Oh yeah... and the countless hours of entertainment that will be provided by the Mav and O family! :) Could not be more blessed to be marrying into this family! They even invite me on their family trips when Cam is not going to be able to make it.

I will hopefully be back in a week with a tan, some books checked off my list, and some pictures.

My dad surprised me with the new Nikon Cool Pix AW110 for graduation. It is waterproof, shockproof, freeze proof (basically Bailee proof). This camera also has built in WiFi and GPS so I can know exactly where I took the pictures! I have used in my back yard and look how clear these pictures are! I can not wait to use the camera while we are camping at what is supposed to be "one of the prettiest state parks in Texas"!

Here is my demo of the pics... My mom and I gave the dogs a bath in the back yard. Roxi, the bulldog, loves the camera but my bullmastiff is a bit camera shy... or just a fan of the shade! :)

Roxi... she has a gem of a personality.

Liebster Award

Long time no blog?... Been busy around these parts. Turns out wedding planning is no joke and the money professional wedding planners get paid is well earned. That is for sure! But... I have some exciting news. One of my blog friends, Mariah, has nominated me for the Liebster Award! Honestly, I had no idea what it what at first. After reading through Mariah's post I have learned that it is an award for blogs with under 200 followers and the goal is to showcase all the new bloggers to the big blog world! Other fellow nominees are able to nominate bloggers as well.

To nominate your fellow bloggers:
1. acknowledge the blog that nominated you
2. tell 11 facts about yourself
3. answer 11 questions the nominating blogger created
4. list blogs with less then 200 followers that you believe deserve this award
5. post 11 questions for them
6. notify them they have been nominated
AND! You CAN NOT nominate the blog that nominated you

So, here are my answers to the questions that Mariah posted for me!

11 Questions for Bailee:
1. What is your favorite drink from Starbucks?
-If it is cold out I go with the White Chocolate Mocha. When it is hot, so about over half of the year in Texas, I stick with an Iced Caramel Machiatto.
2. What is your favorite book and why?
-This is tough one... My favorites change almost daily, but I recently read The Fault in Our Stars. It was fantastic, sad, and really put things into perspective. I started and finished it in one day. If you want to read it you should prepare yourself to not be able to do anything else that day and have some Kleenex.
3. Why did you start blogging?
-I started this little blog because I wanted a way to journal my daily or weekly adventures in a fun way. Also, I had been a chronic blog stalker :)
4. How many siblings do you have?
-I have 1 sweet little sister. In less than two months I will be gaining 3 sisters and 3 brothers. Pretty awesome huh?
5. If you could travel anywhere where would you go?
-If I could go anywhere in the world with Cameron it would be Greece. His family is Greek and I know he would love it, not to mention its beautiful. If I could go anywhere in the world with my mom it would be to travel Europe, specifically Italy.
6. Do you have any nicknames and how did you get them?
-B, bay, Noodles... I think that is about it. I was given all these fantastic and original nicknames when I was much younger. Noodles is from my best friends Sam and Sarah... Maybe I looked like a noodle when I was young? Not really sure.
7. What is one quality you admire most in others?
-Faith. Sometimes you come across people that have such strong faith that it makes you want to be a better version of yourself. I try to keep myself with these people daily.
8. Would you ever go sky diving?
-Yes, but only if I was able to talk my dad into it. He was a daredevil when he was younger... I know dad, I have heard some of your crazy stories from Gram. He tries to tell me he is too old for those kinds of things now.
9. What is your favorite color?
    -Blue.
10. What do you do in your spare time other then blog?
-Watch baseball, read, lay in the sun, play with the dogs, and hang out with family.
11. What is the one thing you keep in your house at all times?
-Candles and chapstick. I am addicted to chapstick and to a yummy smelling house.
