Crazy Week

This week has been a crazy and stressful one. I decided that it would be best to update yall with wonderful i phone pictures... then I was going through them and realized they are almost all food, but just know that I do other things than eat. One of the many resolutions that I make every year (and don't succeed with) is to take more pictures. I  really am bad about pictures and I wish I was better because I love looking at them. Anyways, like I said this week was stress filled and just as I was thinking that this semester was going to be awful I got an awakening. Somehow He always knows what I need and is able to give me perspective :) Baseball season is almost here and this weekend Cam had a scrimmage. I usually go to his scrimmages, but they just do not feel like real games when I am sitting by myself with out the rest of his fan club (aka his mom and dad). BUT! Today we had an amazing surprise! I was at the game being cold and I got a call from Cheryl (his mom). When I answered she asked if it was any warmer where I was standing and I immediately turned around and saw them in their car! It was a great surprise and of course Cam saw them drive in, somehow he is always able to see whenever any one of us is in the area. After dinner I was in the car and reading on my phone and I came upon this verse
Which reminded me that He is always there and always hears what is in my heart. The only thing I need to do is ask Him! :) So, I will now continue my forever journey of not worrying so incredibly much! So here are some of the other pictures of my week.

Deuce likes to think he owns the place... he is currently snoring by my side as I write this. :)

Inspire

If you know me at all you know that I have a huge passion for animals, specifically dogs. For as long as I can remember my house has had dogs in it and I have always had a huge love for them. I have always had a dream to help animals, but until recently I have kept this dream in the back burners of my mind. I think that this pull that I am feeling on my heart is there to remind me about my dreams. However, I have no idea what I am supposed to do about this pull. So I have been researching and just looking around at stuff and I came across an amazing blog and rescue group that was founded by a young girl. I felt like this was screaming "HELLO! you can do this"! Now, I do not want to get too ahead of myself. I have no way of starting my own rescue now, so I am determined to do other things that will be helpful to the rescues that are already out there!

Her name is Ashley and she is basically the definition of inspire, her picture should be next to that word in the dictionary. The rescue group can be found here. I encourage yall to sit down and read her story. She is courage and strength and she has brought her dreams to life. She is hope, love, determination, and life. She has inspired me to do everything and anything that I can. I have recently filled out volunteer forms at a couple rescue organizations here in Edmond. :) I am excited to see what will play out in my future. I want to help in all the ways I can. I know I do not have much, but what I do have is heart and passion. I know this post is not super organized and it is basically a big mess of jumble, but that is how my mind is working right now. :)

Here are some pictures of the dogs she has rescued. She has given them hope and love that none of them ever imagined having.

I hope you enjoyed these pictures of only some of the dogs she has rescued. So, go read her blog!! I will keep you updated on my volunteering adventures! :) I also encourage you to do any little thing that you can to help. There are tons of rescue groups out there and each one of them need all the help they can get. I have found a few in the Fort Worth area (thank you Google), including the Humane Society of North Texas and the Guardian Angels Animal Rescue. Love yall :)

Admire

So, I have been contemplating what to write this blog post about all week. After many trial and errors I decided I wanted to introduce the blog world to two of the people in my life that I admire the most. These two important people are the people who started the Hayes family. They are my Gram Cookie and Papa Jay. Everyone always says they have the best grandparents in the world, but I seriously think they are the best that there ever was! My Papa is the most lovable and friendly man that I ever have met and I believe that I ever will meet. He does not know a stranger (seriously everyone knows him) and he never has anything but nice things to say about everyone. My papa also shares a close bond with animals, I would like to think that he is where I got my deep love of animals. My papa has always had animals and growing up I was lucky enough to watch my Papa care for all types of animals. When I say all types I mean like pigs, chickens, cows, horses, cats, goats, you name it my Papa has cared for them. He is the reason I love all animals. He is the type of man who does anything and everything for the people they love. The cool thing about my papa is that he loves EVERYONE and EVERYTHING! My papa has taught me the meaning of love, not only what it means to love family, but what it means to love your dogs. :) He is an absolute lover of dogs! Just like me. Nothing makes me more happy than to say I am like my Papa!

My Gram cookie is just like she sounds, as sweet as a cookie! These two are a perfect match for each other and they have created the man that I proudly call my dad. My gram is loving, sweet, perfect, and every other adjective out there. My gram is the type of grandma that everyone around also calls gram. She has taught me so many things and I know I will continue to learn from her. My gram is the BEST gram there is! I said earlier that my gram and papa are a perfect match for each other because both of them absolutely LOVE their family. I admire these two for many reasons. The biggest reason that I admire these two people is for their gigantic amount of love for their family. I aspire to be as loving, caring, and nurturing as these two people. I aspire to be as great of a person as these two are. I aspire to one day (in a long long long time) to be as GREAT of a grandparent as they have been to me! I admire my Gram and Papa because they are simply AMAZING. These two are the definition of love. I am so incredibly thankful for them!

ps. How cute are they?! :)

Beginner

I am glad you have stopped by my brand new blog! I have followed several of my favorite blogs for quite a while now (see them to the left) and I have wanted to start a blog for a couple months now, I just didn't know where to start. So, I am starting here with a little information about myself. I am a 20 year old student at the University of Central Oklahoma. I enjoy most everything that other 20 year old girls do. My life revolves around my love of God, family, friends, dogs, baseball, and cleaning. Yep, I am an OCD clean freak :) I have the best family in the world as well as the best boyfriend and friends. I am one lucky girl... :) I am an introvert (quiet & shy) and I think this blog will be the perfect place for me to speak my mind! I hope to use this blog as a way to journal my life and connect with family and friends (hopefully some new friends).  In this blog you can probably expect to hear about bits of my life as well as things I think are important. I hope to figure all of this blog stuff out soon, you will have to bare with me.
